In this board you will be able to create your character. Please remember this is an Intermediate/Advanced roleplaying site and we expect applications of a decent length. Also within this board you will find canon characters, so if you are interested in portraying a premade character check here also. There is a character sheet for you to fill out and you will need to have read through the rule thoroughly in order to comlete your application.
You will need to check this board and post in each thread so that such things as faces, im screen names, myspace names, emails etc. that you wish to use aren't taken. Please remember that once something is taken you cannot use it (excluding celebrities on the rare occasion that there are twin plots used.)
Biographies are sheets which chart your characters relationships with others. Your character biogrpahy can be your complete individual style and can show details about your character, and list the threads etc. that you have made and are participating in. Don't be shy to post in other people's bios, but please remember that some people may find the relationship between their character and yours wouldn't work, and they always have final decision on their own characters friends, enemines, and lovers; so please do not complain to staff if you do no get the positions you apply for. Be realistic, not everyone has friends, not everyone has enemies.
Got a character you'd like to get involved in some major drama, or just looking for someone to role play with? Why not post here, someone is bound to reply. Use this board to your extent, plan out some plots between yours and other characters, and see what you can get. It's always worth a try, though, be sure that if you're to use someone else's idea for a plot that you ask them first!
Marble Bar is a local, well known bar right in in the heart of the city. What you hear about this place is most likely right too. With an old fashioned interior, great food and let's not forget strong alcohol, this place is a sure find. It's not often you'll find this place isn't busy, too. Just about every night of the week you can guarantee this place will be packed like a tin of sardines. On the rare occasion they'll also welcome in up and coming music artists to perform.
Some residents in NYC tend to call Hard Candy the 'hardcore' night club around here. The bar pens at seven thirty pm every night and closes at five thiry am every morning. Here you'll be able to order every alcohol available. People have been also known to call this club 'pure ecstasy' because of the feeling you get whilst dancing the night away and soaking up the atmosphere. The club is fresh and hot and some celebrities have been known to step out onto it's dancefloor. As in any club, you've got to be careful of the sleaze.
New York City Mall is huge. There are no other words to describe it. The mall is packed full of everything from little boutiques to huge department stores. There are many designer stores, and such things as fountains and chandelliers hanging from the high ceiling. Shopaholics can shop til they drop and you're bound to find everything you need here. There is also a large cinema complex nearby and a food court within the outlet.

Rumors Café is a cute little coffee shop located not too far from the city center. And, as the name may suggest this is where a whole lot of talking goes on. You only have to drop in for ten minutes or so and you'll find out about all the latest gossip, whether it be true or not. They also happen to sell the best coffee, cakes and snacks throughout the whole of New York, why not drop in and have a bite?
The Empire Hotel is a rather flashy five star establishment that boasts hundreds of luxurious rooms and suites for the more upper-class of the city’s population. There are plenty of things that keep the place going, with such high standards, you’d only ever expect the best here. A variety of courts, indoor pool, gym, sauna and two large restaurants are only a mere handful of things that keep the clients coming back again and again. This establishment has one of the highest ratings throughout entire New York, for it’s fantastic service and irresistible offers.
Battery Park, in key location, is a huge area of space facing the New York Harbor, with plenty of space for whatever you may wish to do. It’s become a big attraction around the area, a great landmark, with a system of greenspaces, bikeways and promenades. Go for a walk, play ball, take your dog for a walk, or just come out here for some quiet time to think. The place is plenty big enough so pick your option!
The harbor is a quite beautiful yet dangerous place. There are hudereds of boats lining the docks, everything from fancy yachts down to working fishermen. you're guaranteed to see kids playing at the very end of the wooden harbor fishing for crabs and such. and you'll probably see the huge yachts sailing off for a day on the open water.
A stunning stretch of beach that runs on for miles. Sable Beach is quite a pleasant place to be during the hot summer months. The water is warm and refreshing, the sand soft, and comforting. There are usually a number of swim wear shops, and french fries stands to binge through. Though popular during the summer, Sable Beach resembles a ghost town during the winter. The water is frozen solid, the sand rocky and hard. If you catch it during the right season your adventure is sure to be perfect.
Riverland Estate is the most expensive housing estate in New York. The houses are pretty much mansions each with no less that five bedrooms, and the most expensive having certain rooms like home cinemas, indoor pools etc. Each home has an outdoor pool and two acres of land, and a fully secured driveway with big gates. Not all houses appear the same, each has their own individual layout and outer look.
Blackbird Penthouses are really quite expensive and beautiful. They were built just over a year ago so they really look quite modern and contempary. Inside there is a large lounge, kitchen, three bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms. Sometimes the penthouses have a few stairs that lead up to another level, which is around the size of a normal room and these levels generally look over the lounge, and can be used for anything. The windows are large, making this glassy front to the apartments. However the glass is specially designed, making it appear mirrored on one side so no one can look into the penthouse suite.
Adelaide Boulevard is just a regular street of detached and semi-detached homes. This is just your regular street with regular size front and back gardens, regular sized rooms etc. The average amount of rooms within these houses is around three or four. The detached houses can be slightly bigger and have five and one and a half bathrooms, but nothing usually more than that. These are perfect family homes, or great homes to live in with your friends.
The Colbalt Apartments are fairly decent. Like any apartment block they're some houses which are used as drug dens and then there are the scruffier places around. However there are some normal, average apartments for those on a fair budget, some are even rented out. All the apartments have two bedrooms, one bathroom, a lounge and a kitchen.
Blue Blazes is a drinking and poker den for the mob members however, some people often stumble upon this area. Those people being drug addicts, prostitutes and people looking for assassins or weapons. It's well hidden, deep within a maze of alleyways and backstreets and isn't very large, just an old house coverted into a bar, with pool and poker tables. There are often fights and shootings around this area, so be careful. Blue Blazes is often nicknamed as Headquarters or 'HQ' by mob members as upstairs is where the mob have their meetings.
New York can be a very dangerous city. and these streets are the most dangerous especially after dark. Prostitutes prowl, drugs are dealt, weapons are all around. It's not smart to go down here alone, but some people need to make a living. Careful for the used needles, contraception and broken glass too.
Myspace, no doubt you've all heard of it before, and if you haven't you've obviously been hiding under a rock. If you're not already hooked on this addicting website, you're about to be soon. Use it to meet new people or keep in touch with old friends. Put up pictures, make new friends, leave comments, talk to people right across the other side of the world. Just about everyone you'll meet has one, why not jump on the bandwagon?
Instant Messenger or 'IM' is becoming an increasingly popular way to keep in touch with friends or make new ones. It's a great place to have private conversations too. IM is a brilliant way to kill time and boredom whilst chatting away to your friends like you have no care in the world. Please make sure that if your IM thread is tagged for only one person make it clear so as not to confuse others.
